Obituary for Kenneth Edwin Burrer

Kenneth E. “KB” Burrer, 85, of Elyria passed away Thursday June 24, 2021 at his home following a long illness. He was born March 8, 1936 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. KB was the owner of Burrer Brothers Masonary in Elyria for 26 years, retiring in 2001. He was a lifelong member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Elyria and an avid Street Rodder. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Goldie (nee-Mahilo); daughters, Patricia (Pat) Jarrell, Vikki (Ric) Bellottie, Dawn (John) Orsik and Dana (Jake) Grimm; sons, Kenneth (Linda) Burrer Jr. and Dale (Renee) Burrer; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Gerald Burrer and Wayne Burrer. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Burrer and a sister, Patricia Burrer. A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday June 28, 2021 at the Zion United Methodist Church 43720 Telegraph Road, Elyria. Rev. Wendy Brown will Officiate. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Zion United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria. Online condolences may be expressed at
