Obituary for Allyn Michael Adams

Allyn M. Adams, 77, of Elyria passed away Tuesday February 12, 2019 at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake. He was born November 8, 1941 in Fairview Park and was a resident of LaGrange for most of his life. Allyn was a 1966 graduate of West Tech High School where he played on the football team. He was employed as a pressman for 38 years at the Avery Dennison Company in Cleveland, retiring in 2003 and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Doris (nee-Sellers); daughter, Robin Adams; son, Robert Adams; grandchildren, Corey, Maxwell and Jacob; sister, Doris Black; sister-in Law, Cheryl Adams. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Michael Adams. The family will receive friends Saturday February 16, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. The Rev. Chuck Behrens will Officiate. Private burial will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve; memorial gifts, 300 East 185th St. Cleveland, OH. 44119.
