Roberta Louise (McClelland) Rahrig

Roberta Louise “Birdie” Rahrig (nee: McClelland) 86, of LaGrange passed away Tuesday September 12, 2023 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange. She was born November 3, 1936 in Cleveland.  She had worked as Head Cook with Keystone Schools.    Birdie volunteered at New Life Hospice, and enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and gardening. Survivors include a daughter; Judy Thomas of LaGrange, a son; Jeffrey Rahrig (Pamela) of North Ridgeville, additional survivors include two grandchildren; Michael Thomas (Carli) and Morgan Heiss (Brandon) and three great grandchildren, Kory, Teagan and Tatum.  Birdie was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents; Francis and Florence (nee: Obermiller) McClelland, three sisters; Evelyn Hildebrandt of Ashland, Frances Dill of Florida, Elizabeth Abram of Brunswick, two brothers; Donald McClelland of Texas and James McClelland of Valley City. A celebration of Birdie’s life will be 7:00 PM Tuesday September 26, 2023 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria (440)322-4626 where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until time of services at 7:00 PM. The Reverend Father John P.
