Richard T. Bogle

March 12, 1996 ~ September 9, 2023 (age 27) 27 Years Old

Obituary

Richard T. Bogle, 27, of Elyria, transitioned into eternal rest while surrounded by the love of family on September 9, 2023, after a brave and hard-fought health battle. He was the strongest and bravest person most had ever known, both physically and emotionally. He never wanted to give up the fight, but even superheroes need rest eventually. Richard grew up in Elyria and Avon Lake. He studied diesel mechanics at the LCJVS and graduated from Avon Lake High School in 2014. Richard and his wife of almost 6 years, Brittani, were inseparable since they met at 11 and 12 years old. They endured more challenges than most couples face in a lifetime. They faced each adversity together as a couple, and they held hands until the moment that he passed away. Richard was a loving husband and father. Words cannot describe how proud he was to be a dad. He left behind some of the best pieces of himself in his children, and his legacy will live on through them. Despite the difficult issues he faced, Richard always kept a smile on his face and shared joy with those around him. He was known for his contagious laughter, adventurous spirit, and ridiculous sense of humor. He enjoyed playing silly, harmless pranks, especially on his parents. He loved to make people smile and developed many lasting friendships with people close by and online. He was a kind-hearted man with a caring, generous heart. Due to his health issues, he did not have a lot, but he never passed a stranger in need without sharing what he had. He had a passion for animals, both furry and furless. He cared for many exotic species through the years and always took action to help an injured creature of any species when he encountered them. Richard was happiest when he was outside in the sunshine with his friends and family, whether he was hiking, fishing, target shooting, kayaking, or riding ATVs. He was a fantastic cook who loved to research and try new recipes, and he often visited his parents’ home to prepare meals for the entire family. Richard’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by those who survive him: his wife and love of his life Brittani (nee Cruz); his son Diesel, age 9, and his daughter Daisy, age 3 months; his parents Dewey and Michelle Bogle; his sister Daria “Dasha” Bogle and brother Eliot Bogle; maternal grandparents Edra Bowers and Catherine Choma; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Everett and Daisy Bogle; his grandfather Richard Choma; and his angel baby Jaxson Bogle with whom he is now exploring heaven along with their beloved dog Chevy. In Richard’s honor, an outdoor memorial service will be held on October 7, 2023 at 4:00 pm at 14208 Darrow Road, Vermilion OH, followed by an evening of celebrating his life and sharing memories. All are welcome to attend and participate. In lieu of flowers, please take the time to appreciate the preciousness of life and family. Hug your children and spend some quality family time together. Provide a meal to someone in need. Pay it forward. Consider becoming an organ donor. Spread some love and kindness in any way you can to honor Richard’s memory.
