Phelix Noah Young

Phelix Noah Young 74, of Elyria went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly at home on Saturday October 28, 2023.  He was born December 4, 1948 in Ward, WV.  Phelix retired from General Motors, and was a member of Midway Baptist Church. He treasured spending time with family and friends, especially at McDonald’s, he also enjoyed hunting, hot rods, and drag racing. Survivors include his loving wife of fifty five years; Dolores S. “Sue” (nee: Carroll), two sons; Terry G. (Rachel) of Warsaw, OH., Jeff N. (Selina) of Lorain, additional survivors include seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters; Regina Curtis (Clyde) of Maryland, Roberta Myers (Eddie) of West Virginia, and a brother; Cecil “Clay” (Sue) of Elyria.  Phelix was preceded in death by his parents; Cecil and Stella (nee: Tackett) Young, a sister; Kathy Bragg, and a brother; Darrell. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Thursday November 2, 2023 at Midway Baptist Church 41812 Griswold Rd. Elyria, OH 44035 where funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday November 3, 2023. Pastor Emeritus Charles Keesee will officiate.  Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home of Elyria (440)322-4626.
