Peggy L. (Schuster) Basinger

Peggy Lynne Basinger (nee: Schuster), 69, of Elyria, passed away on August 25, 2023 at O’Neill
Healthcare in North Ridgeville. She was born on July 30, 1954 in Elyria. She was a 1972 graduate
of Elyria High School. Peggy retired from Revco/CVS Pharmacy in 2016 after 40+ years. She
enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos, and having family over on Sundays for dinner while
watching The Browns! She loved to take her grandkids shopping for deals at MARC’S and lunch
at Midway OH Boy! She will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband,
Herbert; sons, Brian (Teagan), Bradley (Jennifer), Brandon (Sarah); sisters, Jane (Jerry) Bailey;
grandchildren, Brayden, Sadie, Brinley, Benjamin, Lincoln, Nicole, Brady, Zachary & Bryce; and
many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Leah (nee:
Holtzman); brother, Ronald Schuster; sisters, Kay Marie Schuster, JoAnn “Annie” Schuster,
Sandra Zielinski. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at the Laubenthal Mercado
Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at State RT 57) Elyria from 4 PM – 7 PM. Funeral
Service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Rev. Chuck
Behrens will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park. Online condolences
