Merle J. Goodrich

Merle J. Goodrich, age 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Sebring, Florida on April 23, 2023. Merle was born in Wetzel County, West Virginia on November 18, 1940 to parents Alfred and Gladys (nee: Kendall). He served as a minister for various churches throughout his life. In his spare time, he was an avid golfer. Survivors include his daughter, Kellie (Bryan) Miller; son, Kevin; sisters, Kay Goodrich, Norma Davis, Nancy Cragg, Nora Burkholder; brother, Herman (Maureen); four grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary (nee: Leffew); son, Randy; sister, Madge Collins. Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the Brookdale Cemetery Chapel 41600 Oberlin Elyria Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035. Pastor Arik Borstad from Community of Faith United Church of Christ will officiate.  Memorial contributions in Merle’s name can be sent to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org/donate. Arrangements entrusted to Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home in Elyria.
