Maribel Douglas Obituary

Maribel Douglas was a loving wife, devoted mother and caring friend. She was a selfless, strong and brave individual. She left this world to be with the Lord on November 24th, 2022.

Maribel was born in Davao, Philippines. Growing up she chased her dream of becoming a nurse, eventually receiving her Bachelor’s degree. Fulfilling that dream, she came to the United States, where she met her husband Chuck. They had their only child together, Michelle, and were married for 35 years. Throughout the course of Maribel’s life, she was a hard worker and leader. She worked at Invacare Corp. from 1994-2006, eventually becoming a production supervisor. She finished her working career as a production supervisor at Arrow International from 2006-2016.

Maribel loved life and enjoyed the simple things, spending most of her time with her daughter, husband, and dog, Butch. She and her daughter were inseparable. They loved shopping, crafting, eating out and adventuring together. Maribel and her husband spent time fishing, cooking, antiquing, playing Keno, or just taking rides together in the car. It never mattered what Maribel was doing, as long as she was with her family she was happy. She was an excellent cook, always making loved ones delicious treats for birthdays and holidays. She also loved gardening and planting beautiful flowers around her home.

Maribel was a kind, beautiful soul who will be missed immensely. She touched the lives of everyone she met. Her spirit will continue to live on through those who love her.
