Kevin R. Haught

Kevin R. Haught 67, of Oberlin passed away at home on Monday May 30, 2022.  He was born July 14, 1954 in Elyria.  Kevin was a 1972 Elyria High School graduate.  He had worked as a tooling engineer at General Industries, and was a corrections officer at Grafton Prison.  Kevin loved spending time with his family and his dog; Abby.  He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and woodworking.  Survivors include two daughters; Brooke M. Edgell (Brandon) of Grafton, Kristin A. Ott (Mike Chabek) of Columbia Station, three grandchildren; Lucas, Logan, and Kaylee. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; Junior Russell and Nelda (nee: Gain) Haught, and a sister; Annetta Baumiller.  The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Thursday June 2, 2022 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where a Celebration Of Kevin’s life will be at 7:00 PM immediately following visitation.  Pastor Dan Reinke will officiate. Burial will be private.
