Kenneth “ Ken” Gene Riley 85, of Camden Township passed away on Sunday May 14, 2023 at Metro General Hospital in Cleveland following a short illness. He was born in Morgan County, Ohio on July 29, 1937. Ken moved to Elyria at a young age, and graduated from Elyria High School in 1957, he then moved to Camden Township for the remainder of his life. Ken began his work career at Elyria Auto Service when he was in eleventh grade, and continued there for twelve years. He had worked for Jones Motors, and finally to Chapin Logistics until his retirement where he was a diesel mechanic and driver/trainer. Ken loved helping his family, and enjoyed snowmobiling and wood working. Survivors include his daughters; Debbie Super (Ed), Judith Beckett (Don), Colleen Riley and a son; Robert Riley. Additional survivors include ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a brother; Paul Riley, and his sisters; Ethel Marie Stewart, Patricia Kyer, Carol Tucker, Joyce VanMeter Clark, Dorothy Ramsey, Janet Smith, Judy Housman and many nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his wife of thirty seven years; Shirley Mae (nee: Hruby), his parents; Albert Samuel and Edith (nee: Fry) Riley, and three brothers; Edgar Riley, Donald Riley, and Walter Dobbeck.
