Glen H. Terry 88, formerly of Grafton died peacefully on the evening of September 10, 2023 at Danbury Senior Living Center in North Ridgeville. Glen served in the Army. As a youth Glen enjoyed boxing and weightlifting. For most of his career he was a bricklayer and general contractor. Around 1986 he began working with Kirkwood Industries and remained there until he retired. He built a house and barn on Chestnut Ridge Road. This allowed him to fulfill his dream of having horses. He and Jane were western fans, Gene Autry was their favorite. Glen and Jane moved to Grafton in 1972. Jane passed in 2016 but he remained in Grafton until December of 2020 when he moved to Danbury Senior Living in North Ridgeville. Glen was a fan of watching his children play sports, especially wrestling. Starting in 1981 he started running often placing in his age bracket. He continued running until his knees would no longer let him. He kept his love of the romantic view of the western life; at Danbury he would almost always have, when available, The Virginian or Gunsmoke on the TV. He will be missed by his children; Kurt (Amy), Glen (Julia) , Andrea , Mark (Teresa), Joel and Ericka Terry. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kevin ( Lauren), Michael (Michelle), Adam (Savannah) Terry, Timothy & Christopher Wright, Lauren and Brandon & Joshua Terry. His great granddaughters Jenna Terry, Janie Terry, Emma Terry, Norah Terry, Lilah Terry & Harper Terry as well as his great grandson Wesley Terry. He has one surviving sister Jo Ann Terry Jocke. Glen was preceded in death by his wife Jane Kathryn Udvardy Terry to whom he, at the time of her passing, was married fifty nine years. Just last month he saw the untimely passing of his son; Kris Terry, He was also preceded in death by his sisters Ellen and Florence, his brother Leonard, grandsons; Kyle Terry, Hank Wright & granddaughter; Jenny Wright Lowe. Per Glen’s request there will be no service. He will be cremated and interred at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Grafton Ohio next to his wife Jane.
