Donald L. Wolf

Donald L. Wolf  91, of LaGrange (formerly of Spencer) passed away Friday September 15, 2023 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange following a long illness.  He was born December 15, 1931 in Penfield. Don was a 1949 Penfield High School graduate. He had served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Okinawa where he tested petroleum on ships.  Don was a high school teacher and taught in Spencer and Elyria Schools. He had also worked as probation officer in Santa Barbara, CA.  Survivors include two sisters; Irene McMullen (Tim) of LaGrange, Judy Klingshirn (the late Clem), a brother; Richard (Dolores) of Spencer.  Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews.  Don was preceded in death by his wife of fifty nine years; Eleanore (nee: Slatinski), two sons; Michael and Mark, his parents; Frederick Lloyd and Mary Louise (nee: Chapman) Wolf, five sisters; Kathryn Louise Seabold, Alice DeLong (Meryl), Mary fortune (Sheldon), Ruth Miller (Bernard), Claire Wolf, and two brothers; Jacob (Dee), and Fred.  The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Saturday September 23, 2023 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. where funeral services will be at 11:00 AM immediately following visitation.  Don’s nephew The Reverend Father John P. Seabold will officiate.  Burial will be private.  The family suggests that memorial contributions in Don’s memory be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Online condolences to the family may be expressed at www.laubenthalmercado.com
