David Allen Woods

David Allen Woods, age 74, of Sheffield Township, passed away Saturday January 28, 2023 following a brief illness. He was born November 26, 1948 in Charleston, West Virginia. Davis served in the United States Army Airborne Division during the Viet Nam War. He worked as a heavy equipment  operator  and diesel mechanic at Schaffer Excavating.  He is survived by his loving wife Deborah (nee-Hall) Woods; sons, David Woods Jr. (Brandy) and Robert Woods; sisters, Connie Johnson, Jennifer Berger and Bertha (Jim) McDougle: brother, Charles (Donna) Woods; grandchildren, Megan, Molly, David “Cecil”, Tiffany, Robby and Cody; two great-grandchildren,  Trenton and Kenzlee; 6 step-children, 22 Step-grandchildren, and 10 step-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and his best friend, Buster. David is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Mary Jane (Clark) Woods; brothers, Willard, William and Robert “Steve” Woods. The family will receive friends on Friday February 3, 2023 from 2:00 pm until the time of services at 4:00 pm at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
