Cindy L. Burns

Cynthia L. “Cindy” Burns, 59, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Elyria, Ohio to parents Roy and Margaret “Sue” Burns (nee: Doss) on November 1, 1962. Cindy graduated from Elyria High School in 1981 and was a member of The Federal Order of Eagles #4003 in Columbia Station. She was known for her artistic abilities which include painting, art, and being a published poet. Survivors include her daughter, Destiny Kehl; sisters, Rhonda Smith, Joni and Tina Burns; brothers; Bobby, Perry (Kim), Rex Burns, Ricky Woodburn; numerous nieces and nephews, and Carlos Cabassa, who Cindy considered a son; and cats, Reese and Roxy Anne. Cindy is preceded in death by her parents. Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 1pm – 4 pm at Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
