Charles Robert Nash

Charles R. “Chuck” Nash, 89, of Eaton Township passed away Thursday April 11, 2024 at his son’s home. He was born June 29, 1934 in Port Arthur, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada and was a lifelong Eaton Township resident. Chuck worked for the Elyria City Schools for 30 years, retiring as the Head Custodian in 1991. He was a United States Army veteran, a member of the former Grace Lutheran Church in Elyria and enjoyed golf and bowling. Survivors include his daughters Christine Pinkerton and Carol Krieg; son, Carl (Cherie) Nash; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Joyce Duncan. He was preceded in death by his wife Leah on December 13, 2023, son-in law, Tim Krieg and brother, Richard Nash. The family will receive friends Saturday April 27, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mercy New Life Hospice 3500 Kolbe Rd. Lorain, OH. 44053.
