Bruce James Wilk

Bruce J. Wilk, 17, of Elyria passed away Sunday August 27, 2023 at his home. He was born July 27, 2006 in Elyria and was a lifelong Lorain/Elyria resident. Bruce was a student at Elyria High School and enjoyed drawing, skateboarding and video games. Survivors include his mother, Rita (Rob) Micko; father, Jim Wilk; sisters, Felicia Sweeten, Kylee Sweeten (Mack), Maysel Sweeten and Samantha Wilk; nephew, Archie; grandparents, Maysel Lara, Bruce Wilk and Connie Duncan; aunt, Michelle; uncles, Art (Traci) and Rick along with 8 cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arthur Lara Jr. and great-grandparents, James and Omagene Duncan. The family will receive friends Wednesday September 6, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Camp IDEAS in care of the Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church 3015 Meister Rd.
