Barbara Ann Takacs (nee: Butkiewicz) 86, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly at University Hospitals Main Campus in Cleveland on Sunday November 6, 2022. She was born August 1, 1936 in Elyria. Barbara was a 1954 Elyria Catholic High School graduate. She was a member of St. Mary Church in Elyria where she was also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and volunteered with Hot Meals, and the church. Barbara was a stenographer for Veterans Administration and a medical transcriptionist for local physicians. Survivors include a daughter; Teresa Bebber (Roland) of McKinney TX., a son; William Takacs (Jane) of Wakeman. Additional survivors include five grandchildren; Nicholas, Sara, Joshua, Kai, Katelyn, and one two grandchildren; Weston, Marlene, a sister; Rose Marie Bommer of Avon Lake,. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband; Michael Takacs, her parents; Frank and Rose (nee: Wysogorski) Butkiewicz, four sisters; Irene Sobotka, Dorothy Butkiewicz, Loretta Renski, Sister Joan Butkiewics SSJTOSF two brothers; Henry and Harry Butkiewicz. A memorial service celebrating Barbara’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday November 14, 2022 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM on Monday. The Reverend Father Charles T.
