Andrew "Andy" M. Majkut Jr.

Andrew M. “Andy” Majkut Jr. 76, of Elyria passed away Thursday October 12, 2023 at St. Mary of The Woods in Avon following a long illness.  He was born April 30, 1947 in Lorain. Andy was a certified public account and was the owner operator of Majkut CPAs Ltd. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst. Andy treasured spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He was an avid fly fisherman, he loved to travel, and over the course of his life he enjoyed numerous interests. Survivors include his wife of thirty three years; Rebecca “Becky” (nee: Yonally), two sons; Thad Majkut (Tina), Jonathan Majkut (Mary), a daughter; Julianne Dennis (Pete) and two additional sons; Edward Bittman (Tanya), Matthew Bittman (Rachael).  Additional survivors include eight grandchildren; Anthony, Paige, Becca, Gabe, Adam, Evan, Emma, Henry, and a brother; Joseph Majkut.  Andy was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Lindsey, and his parents; Andrew Sr. and Helen (nee: Horvath) Majkut.  The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Monday October 16, 2023 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria (440)322-4626. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday October 17, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 200 St. Joseph Dr. Amherst, OH 44001.  The Reverend Father Timothy J. O’Connor, Pastor will be the Celebrant. Please meet at church.  Burial will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.  Memorial contributions in Andy’s memory may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
