Zane E. Brushaber, 95, of Grafton passed away Monday February, 6, 2023 at his home following a brief illness. He was born April 4, 1927 in Sandusky and was a North Ridgeville resident for many years before moving to Grafton in 1991. Zane retired as an inspector at the United States Department of Labor, he served in the United States Marine Corps during W.W. II, was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton and also the American Legion Post 12 in Elyria. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and playing golf. Survivors include his daughters, Diane (Jim) Ritter, Denise Gannon and Linda (John) Ambrosecchia; sons, Ken (Sue Nicholson) Brushaber, Ron (Bridget) Brushaber and Zane BrushaberJr.;15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Brushaber; companion, Gerry Misiak. He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine (nee-Klingshirn) in 2002. The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday February 10, 2023 in the gathering area of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 708 Erie St. Grafton. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of the church. The Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold, pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville, where V.F.W. Post 1079 will conduct full military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
