William Thomson 72 of Elyria passed away Monday February 8, 2016 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain following a lengthy illness. He was born January 20, 1944 in Elyria and was a graduate of Elyria High School. William served his Country in the Army . He enjoyed working on cars and loved old western movies. Survivors include his wife of 40 years Sharon (nee Hooper) , daughters Jessica (Anthony) Salvatore of Avon Lake , Nanette (S) Wise of Elyria , Shannon (Jesse) Graham of Lorain , son James (Michelle) of Wakeman , 14 grandchildren , 5 great-grandchildren , sister Sandra (James) Piero of Sheffield Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Isabella (nee McGee). There will be no visitation. Celebration of Life will be 10:30 AM Saturday February 27, 2016 with full military honors provided by VFW post # 1079 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
