William R.L. Phillips 69, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly on Saturday August 12, 2017 at UH Elyria Medical Center. He was born February 19, 1948 in Elyria, OH. William loved writing and reading. Survivors include a daughter; Christina Phillips of Lorain, and four grandchildren, one great grandchild. William was preceded in death by a grandson; Lawrence, his parents; Billie and Ruby (nee: Perkins) Phillips, a brother; Michael, and a nephew; Mike.
