William M. "Bill" Schmitt, 70, of LaGrange, passed away on July 22, 2023 at the Hospice of the Western Reserve in Medina. He was born on January 30, 1953 in Berea, Ohio to parents Donald and Arlene (nee: Surman). Bill attended Keystone High School and LCJVS. He married his sweetheart, Elaine Botamer, in 1972. Bill owned B & E Trucking for over twenty years and was a member of AMVETS 032. Those who knew him describe him as a jack of all trades and always willing to help others. In his spare time, he could be found tinkering in his garage performing small engine repair. Survivors include his wife and father; daughter, Staci (James) Woods; son, Shawn (Traci) Schmitt; sister, Debbie (Frank) Radachi; brothers, Jeff (Gayle) and Greg (Leslie); nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
