William M. Kelley Jr. 78, of Elyria passed away Wednesday May 1, 2013 at the Lifecare Center of Elyria following a long illness. He was born November 24, 1934 in Wayland, OH. And was a Elyria resident for most of his life, coming from Wellington. Bill worked as a machinist at the former General Motors Fisher Guide plant in Elyria for 30 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Elyria, was a United States Army veteran and enjoyed music, nature, reading and sports. Bill was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who taught by example. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Nancy (nee-DeWitt); sons, Michael (Kimberly) Kelley of Louisville, KY., and James (Kimberly) Kelley of New Washington, OH.; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Dolores Winkler of Kent, OH., Gloria Rodenbucher of Atwater, OH., and Kathleen Cruise of Alliance, OH.. The family will receive friends Sunday 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Christian Burial Services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Greenwich, OH.
