Dr. William K. Fox DVM, "Doctor Bill", lost his battle with esophageal cancer on July 10th, 2020 at Fairview Hospital. He passed away peacefully. He enjoyed horseback riding, fishing with his grandson, snowmobiling, and farming. He was part of the Over the Hill Gang at Firelands Boy Scout Camp, Eagle Scouts, a member of the LaGrange Lions Club, and a member of the LaGrange Masonic Lodge. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1976 and practiced until 2014. He was the Lorain County Fair Vet for 35 years and received the Claire Hill award in 2019. His passion was hobby farming and a few days before he passed he was elated to see his crop bring 966 bushels of wheat by his brother-in-law Dave French (Eileen). He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathleen Fox (nee-Norton); daughter, Dr. Lisa Fox Wright DVM, and his grandson Aiden William Wright. He leaves behind two older sisters, Beth (Tom) Hines and Jewel Cowan, and a younger brother, Noel (Bev) Fox, multiple nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Fox (nee-Klar) in 2004, his father, Dr. Charles W. Fox DVM in 2007, his brother-in-law, Andrew Cowan in 1995 and father-in-law, George R. Norton in 1996. There will be no visitation and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Friends of the Lorain County Junior Fair P.O. Box 732 LaGrange, OH. 44050.
