Wesley Dwight Welton 70, of Grafton passed away Thursday May 19, 2022 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain. He was born February 28, 1952 in Elyria.  Wesley served in the U.S. Army and was awarded a bronze star with combat v while serving in Vietnam.  He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed golf, riding his motorcycle and nature. Survivors include his wife; Cheryl L. (nee: Conner), two daughters; Tina Estes of North Ridgeville, Salina Wells of Louisa, KY., three sons; Wesley J. (Lisa) Evans, GA., Zach of Jacksonville, FL., Brian Wells of North Olmsted.  Additional survivors include fourteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nephew of Judi Theil of Lorain, Barb Collins of Elyria, and uncle to Billy Vargo of Elyria.  The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Monday May 23, 2022 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday May 24, 2022.  Pastor Mike Payne will officiate.  V.F.W. Post 1079 will provide full military honors at the funeral home following funeral services.  Burial will be private.  The family suggests that memorial contributions in Wesley's memory be sent to St. Jude Children Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl.
