Wendla I. "Wendy" Pearson (Nee Resar) of Elyria , Florida, and Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 96 years of age. She was born March 7, 1923 in Elyria, Ohio. She attended St. Mary Grade School, was a graduate of Elyria High School and attended Bowling Green State University. She was married for 62 years to Jack Pearson until his death in 2004. She worked alongside her husband for many years at the companies that they owned, Elyria Blueprint Co. and North Coast Reproductions. Wendy's favorite activities were reading, sewing, traveling, attending church, supporting missions and entertaining and being with friends. Survivors include her daughter, Jane (Mike) Durr of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Rebecca Pearson, Douglas Guy Pearson Jr., Jeffrey (Niki) Durr, Kristy (Nick) Owens, and Tim Durr; great grandchildren, Reesce Spurlock,Taylor, Natalie, Lily, and Audrey Durr, Aliyah, Carter, and Clara Owens, sister-in-law Mary Resar and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by; parents, John and Florence Resar; dear Aunt Estelle and Uncle Al Brugge and her son, Douglas Guy Pearson. She was also preceded in death by her 10 siblings, brothers, Gene (Gladys) Resar, Jim (Marge) Resar, John Edward (Evelyn) Resar, Bob (Helen) Resar and Larry Resar; sisters, Rosella (Ray Ewers), Dolores (Al) Kistner, Vivian (Walter) Kapucinski, Mary (Orrin) Brewster, and infant, Lois. Family will be present to receive friends 5-8PM Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria 440-322-4626, where closing prayers will be held 9:30 AM Saturday, September 14, 2019., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM St. Mary Church 320 Middle Ave. Elyria, OH. 44035.
