Wanda J. Crosby (nee Jacobs), 86, of Elyria passed away peacefully Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin, following a lengthy illness. She was born September 20, 1931to Elsie and Carl Jacobs and was a lifelong resident of Elyria. Wanda graduated from Elyria High School in 1949. She was a member of Washington Avenue Church of Christ. She worked at Winkelman's at Midway Mall until 1975 and the Lorain County Bank until her retirement as branch manager in 1996. She also volunteered at E.M.H. for over 30 years. Wanda's greatest joy was her family and spending time with them. She loved cooking, and baking for her family and friends, working in her flower gardens, sewing and taking care of her cats. Survivors include her daughters Wendy (Rick) Amison of Austin,TX., Tani Archer of Elyria, Stacey (John) Francis of Elyria and Danielle (John) Bryan of N. Ridgeville; son Kevin Crosby of Elyria; grandchildren Molly Harshman (Casey) of Toledo, Jacob (Katelyn) , Nick and Casey Crosby all of Elyria; 3 great grandchildren; sister Wilma Baker of N. Ridgeville; brother Wilford (Marlene) Jacobs of Elyria and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Elsie Jacobs (nee Amenhauser). In keeping with the wishes of Wanda there will be no funeral services and burial will be private. The family suggests those who wish, may make donations to Friendship APL 8303 Murray Ridge Rd.
