Walter Scott Buyer 83, of Grafton passed away Monday April 17, 2023.  He was born March 29, 1940 in Cleveland and was a 1958 North Olmsted High School graduate where he played quarterback.  Wally was an avid golfer, and enjoyed hunting, wood working and cars.  Survivors include his wife of sixty years; Theresa C. (nee: Virone), three daughters; Lucy M. Hardin (Eric) of LaGrange, Angie M. Greenhill (The late John) of Grafton, and Jenny M. Westrick (Jeff) of Gibraltar, MI. Additional survivors include five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a sister: Jean Butts of North Ridgeville. He was preceded in death by his parents; Walter E. and Lucille (nee: Goodyear) Buyer.  The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Thursday April 20, 2023 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria (440)322-4626 where funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday April 21, 2023.  Burial will be at River Road Cemetery in LaGrange Township.
