Vivian Caruthers, (nee-Grant), 90, of Wellington passed away Sunday November 4, 2012 at her home following a brief illness. She was born April 11, 1922 in Newport, TN. And was a Wellington resident for most of her life. Vivian enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughters, Nancy (Larry) Szep of Wellington and Barbara (Bill) Welch of Elyria; son, Rick Caruthers of Wellington; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Cora Reppert of Crossville, TN.; brother, Bob Grant of Crossville, TN.. She was preceded in death by her husband James in 2003, son, Ralph Caruthers, great-granddaughter, RaeAnne, sister, Dot O'Dell and brothers, Lawrence and J.H. Grant. The family will receive friends Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. 440-322-4626.
