Virgil E."Ernie" Rue 79 of Grafton passed away Monday August 17, 2015 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange following a brief illness. He was born April 18 , 1936 in Athens , Tennessee. Virgil worked for General Motors for 30 years. He enjoyed walking and he loved his 1988 truck. He was a 40 year member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Shelby (nee Ensminger) , son Randall (Tracy) of Elyria , grandchildren Justin , Reghina , Stephanie , Blake and Dava , 5 great-grandchildren ,5 great-grandchildren, sister Delores Vanover of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents Fayette and Laura (nee Tollett). Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday August 20, 2015 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57) Elyria 440-322-4626 , where funeral services will be held 1PM Friday August 21, 2015. Rev. Darrell Myers pastor of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in River Rd. Cemetery (LaGrange).
