Violet M. Diewald (nee: McGuire) 84, of Elyria passed away Friday August 5, 2011 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange following a long illness. She was born August 28, 1926 in Lorain and had resided in Elyria most of her life. Violet had been active with Girl Scouts; she enjoyed reading and watching television. Survivors include two daughters; Gloria Thompson (Allan) of Elyria, Darlene Neptune of Naples, FL, a sister; Doris Wiegand (Christ) of North Ft. Myers, FL, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty two years; Earl R., a son; Earl Thomas, three sisters; Evelyn, LaVonne, and Mildred, a brother; Charles, a great grandson, and her parents; Charles and Esther (nee: Moore) McGuire.
