Victor Chimchenko, 72, of Elyria, passed away March 9, 2022, at the VA Hospital in Cleveland. Victor was born November 7, 1949 in Hamburg, Germany to Peter and Sabina Chimchenko. He worked as a mechanic at Forge Products, Inc. Victor proudly served his country in Vietnam before marrying the love of his life, Janet. When not at work, he could be found tending his garden. Survivors include his wife Janet (nee MacDonald), daughter Crystal (Aron) Mills, son Michael (Leslie) MacDonald, sister Isabella Kwapishesky and brother Boris (Henryka) Chimchenko; grandchildren, Tyler MacDonald, Leah MacDonald, Jason Feliciano, Jr., Janea Mills, Jamariah Mills, and Seth MacDonald. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria.
