Vernie Mae Frabotta, (nee-Edwards), 81, of Grafton passed away peacefully Friday July 26, 2024 following a long illness. Vernie was born May 8, 1943 in Spring City, Tennessee and was a Grafton resident for most of her life. She was a graduate of North Ridgeville High School. She was a longtime hairdresser and treasured her clients as family. Vernie enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, canning, cooking, and listening to Elvis. Vernie will be remembered for her classiness, kind heart, and her favorite red lipstick. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Ronald J. Frabotta; son, Ronald (Lisa) Frabotta; daughter, Tracy (Jason) Sapienza; three grandchildren, Erica, Katie and Colby, and many nieces and nephews., She was preceded in death by her parents Roger and Ruth (nee-Swafford) Edwards, brother, Dennie Edwards Sr. and sister, Wilma (Gary) Fields. The family will receive friends Saturday August 3, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 noon at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. The Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold, Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton will preside. Christian burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Grafton.
