Ursa L. Bright, (nee-Humphreys), 87, of Elyria passed away Sunday November 4, 2018 at the Mercy New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain following a long illness. She was born August 31, 1931 in Loudon County, TN., and was an Elyria resident for most of her life. Ursa worked for the City of Elyria as a crossing guard for 33 years, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and fishing. Survivors include her daughters, Janice (Gary) Cales and Tina (Rick) Thompson; daughter-in-law, Barbara Bright; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Edward Humphreys Jr.. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2005, daughter, Carol Yancer in 1981 and son, Kenneth A. Bright in 1975. All services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Mercy New Life Hospice 3700 Kolbe Rd. Lorain, OH. 44053.
