Thomas L. Downs, 82, of Oberlin passed away Wednesday, March 23,. 2022 at Embassy Crystal Care in Ashland, OH. He was born September 9, 1939 in Elyria. Thomas was a supervisor for Harshaw Chemical Co. and a lifelong boater. He was loved deeply and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his partner Frances Downs; daughters Diane (Derek) Smith, Judy (Dale) Gallion, Sharon Smith and Stephanie Ryan; sons, David (Gigi) Novak, Ron (Melissa) Novak;step-son, Larry Knapp; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Regina Hoffman (Dale Dunlap); sister-in-law Norma Downs; daughter-in-law, Rose (Ken) Stout. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; parents, Walter and Hilda Downs (nee Yost)daughter, Lori Novak; son, Jim Downs; brother, Donald Downs; son-in-law, Jim Smith.
