Thomas P. Dool, 60, of Elyria passed away Monday June 20, 2011 at EMH Health Care following a long illness. He was born November 29, 1950 in Garfield Heights. Thomas was a graduate of Brookside High School; he retired from the City of Westlake in 1999, working in the Maintenance Department. Thomas was a member of The M.S. Society, A.F.S.C.M.E., and P.E.R.S. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, camping, and fishing. Survivors include his wife of twenty five years; Dianne M. (nee: Reid), four sons, Thomas "Chris" Dool (Whitney) of Pikeville, KY., Eric J. Dool (Michelle) of Cincinnati, OH., Todd M. McCrann (Betsy) of Pittsburg, PA, Eric M. McCrann (Amy) of Elyria, a daughter; Kelly L. Smith (Dale) of Elyria. Additional survivors include five grandchildren; Randall Bare, Paige McCrann, Reese McCrann, Leah Dool, Chance McCrann, three brothers; Carl Dool of Cleveland, John Dool of Virginia Beach, VA., and Timothy Conway (Joyce) of Westlake Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Eleanor (nee: Smakal) Dool, and two sisters; Carol Yarano, Patricia Radito.
