Therese A. Ogrodnik (nee: DeMarco) 61, of Elyria passed away Wednesday August 17, 2016 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a long illness. She was born May 12, 1955 in Buffalo, NY. Therese had worked for Ridge Tool, and Travel Centers of America. She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Elyria Township. Therese loved cooking and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed helping people, music and watching sports. Survivors include her husband of twenty nine years; Juan Ogrodnik, two sons; Shane Gunter (Becky) of Maryville, TN, Stephen M. Ogrodnik of Elyria. Additional survivors include two grandchildren; Andie and Anthony, two sisters; Rose Kirkpatrick (Kerry) of Elyria, Ann Atkinson of Elyria, eight brothers; Frank DeMarco (Barb) of Amherst, Andrew DeMarco (Karen) of Elyria, Joseph DeMarco of Elyria, Marion DeMarco of Columbia Station, Danny DeMarco (Susan) of Elyria Twp., Peter DeMarco of Muskegon, MI., Gerald DeMarco (Jill) of Huntington Twp., John DeMarco of Las Vegas, NV. Therese was preceded in death by her parents; Salvatore and Lucy (nee: Cataldo) DeMarco. Family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Friday August 19, 2016 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM Saturday August 20, 2016 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church 41295 North Ridge Rd. Elyria, OH 44035. Reverend Father Don Bosco Darsi will be the Celebrant.
