Terry L. Minney, 68, of Elyria passed away Monday October 12, 2020 at Community Health Partners Mercy Hospital in Lorain following a long illness. He was born June 7, 1952 in Glenville, WV. And was a lifelong Elyria resident. Terry worked at Diamond Products in Elyria for many years, retiring in 2015 from the Production Control Department. A 1971 Elyria High School graduate, Terry enjoyed playing and umpiring softball and spending time with his grandchildren, especially watching them play softball. Survivors include his daughter, Debi Janicki; son, Ryan (Rachel) Minney; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Zachary, Paul and Nathan; sisters, Linda (Clyde) Hamilton, Sue (Bill) Coghlan and Luetta (Bill) Mueller; brothers, Mark Minney and Mike (Karen) Minney. A private, family Memorial Service will be held on Thursday October 15, 2020 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria, after which a public visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Per CDC guidelines, social distancing and facial coverings are required. Burial will be private.
