Terrence G. "Terry" Martin, 70, of Oberlin passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 17, 2021 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center. He was born April 21, 1951 in Elyria and was a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School. Terry proudly served his Country in the United States Army. He worked for Harshaw Chemical Company. Terry enjoyed fossil hunting, fishing and was an avid reader on the history of World War II. Survivors include his wife Nancy (nee Vancs); daughter, Melissa Helton; son, Matthew Martin; granddaughter Hayley; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Jeffrey, John (Donna) and Ralph. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Novelda Martin (nee Nichols). Family will receive friends 6-8PM Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria 440-322-4626. Graveside services will be held 2PM Friday, October 22, 2021 at Brookdale Cemetery, where full military honors will be provided by VFW post # 1079.
