Teodoro "Ted" R. Mabini, M.D., 87, of Westlake born May 7, 1925 in Manila, The Philippines, was called home by the Lord on May 3, 2013. Ted received his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila and in 1952 came to Cleveland to begin his medical career as a Pathologist and as of late, as a rehabilitation physician with the Cleveland Therapy Center. He was a active member of the Association of Philippine Physicians of Ohio, the Association Physicians of America and the Philippine American Society of Ohio. For many years Ted served on the board of Catholic Charities and was a faithful member of St. Ladislas Parish. Ted was the nephew of Apolinario Mabini, National Hero and the First Prime Minister of the Philippines. He is preceded in death by his parents, Agapito and Maria (nee-del Rosario), sisters, Macaria and Soledad and a brother, Francisco. Survivors include siblings, Antonio of Clearwater, FL. And Roger of Orlando, FL; Devoted as "Uncle Ted" to many nieces and nephews, especially to his loving caregiver Marilu Mabini of Westlake and Maria (Mabini) Ruffino of San Pedro, CA.. Family will receive friends in at St. Ladislas Church 2345 Bassett Rd. Westlake on Saturday May 11, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark.
