Tamara Lynn Wilson, 60, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 27, 2026. After a brave battle with a lengthy illness, she passed on while surrounded by the people who loved her.
Known to her friends and family as Tammy, she was a resident of Elyria, Ohio who was born on December 7, 1965 in Wellington, Ohio. She attended Oberlin Senior High School as well as Lorain County JVS, where she specialized in child care. She was an employee of Weltman, Weinberg and Reis for over 30 years.
Tammy had many hobbies and enjoyments, such as her love for the band Journey, watching Nascar and a lifelong loyalty to her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. She was also an avid pet lover. But her greatest joy in life was spending time with the people she loved the most. She was at her happiest when she was surrounded by her friends and family. She was a fiercely loyal sister and a devoted aunt to nieces and nephews who she loved with all her heart.
Tammy is survived by her sisters, Tina Wilson (Jeff Zink) and Teresa Wilson; brothers, Richard Wilson, Shane Wilson, and Spencer Wilson; nieces, Taylor (Elissa) Wilson, Jordan (Jeffrey) Wolfe, Summer Park, Kella Wilson, and Devin Zink; nephews, Damian Wilson (Tianhui Lai), Ty Wilson, Max Wilson, and Austin Zink; great-nephews, Jackson Wolfe, Julian Zink, and Jace Zink; dogs, Digger, Dobby, Zee-Jay, and Simba; cats, Gucci, Lucy, and Bell; as well as many close friends who she considered family.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Lucille Nottingham and her father, Richard Lee Wilson.
Although Tammy may be gone physically, her spirit will live on through the lives she touched with her kind and generous heart. She will forever be loved and missed by the people who were lucky enough to have been a part of her life.
Immediate family and close friends will remember Tammy with a Celebration Of Life service. Arrangements entrusted to Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home in Elyria.
