Sylvia J. Lavell

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Sylvia Lavell, passed away on January 31, 2026. She was 84. Sylvia was the heart of our home and family. She raised two children, Dawn (Palko) and Don, in a happy and loving home to be strong and caring adults. Sylvia was our biggest cheerleader and our constant supporter. Sylvia was a grandmother to Danny Palko who passed away April 2025, Kevin Palko (31), and Cooper Lavell (20). She loved taking the kids on fun outings and spoiling them rotten.

Sylvia was known and loved for the countless hours she spent at North Park ice rink on cold winter days as score keeper for the hockey teams in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Sylvia was known for her smile and kind heart. She was the heart and soul of our family, and she will be dearly missed. At Sylvia’s request, there will be no services. We will miss her greatly.
