Sylvia J. Sear (nee: Geiger) 94, of Eaton Township passed away peacefully at home on Monday September 22, 2025.  She was born June 27, 1931 in Cleveland.  Sylvia worked with the Girl Scouts, helping the girls build courage, confidence, and character; she taught many valuable life skills, and helped develop strong core values.  Sylvia was involved in the PTA for many years, she treasured spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and enjoyed gardening and fishing, creative cooking, nature, and birds. Sylvia was not much on mincing words, and always told it as it is. Survivors include four daughters; Elizabeth Bell (Robert of Parma Heights, Diane Sear of Eaton Twp., Elaine Chismar (Donald) of Grafton, Pamela Miller (the Late William) of Negley, OH., a son; Donald W. Sear of Cleveland. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and a brother; Fred V. Geiger (Daisy) of Eaton Twp.  Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband of sixty two years; Donald E. Sear, her parents; Fred and Frieda (nee: Mann) Geiger, and a sister; Dorothy Reszegi. Funeral services and burial will be private at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted.  The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Sylvia's memory be sent to Hospice of Western Reserve 17876 St. Clair Ave. Cleveland, OH 44110-2602.
