Sylvia D. Bell, (nee- Dobrin), 89, of LaGrange, passed away peacefully on Monday April 11, 2016 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange. She was born December 26, 1926 in Lorain and was a lifelong area resident. Sylvia worked as a cook for the Keystone School System for 27 years, retiring as the head cook in 1984. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Lois (Brad) Bell-Duplaga of LaGrange; son, Alan (Chris) Bell of Penfield; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Mascenik of Westlake. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Bell on December 25, 1992, sisters, Evelyn DiSilvester and Ann Dobrin, brothers, Romey and George Dobrin Jr. The family will receive friends Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will Friday April 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. The Rev. Danny Wright will Officiate. Burial will be at River Road Cemetery, LaGrange.
