Obituary

Suzanne Failing,(nee-Dennis) 73, of Elyria passed away Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. following a sudden illness. She was born November 27, 1938 in Cleveland and was a Elyria resident for 42 years. Sue worked as a private tutor for 15 years, retiring in 2011. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross and enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Norm; daughter, Jill Failing of Maple Heights; sons, Michael Dennis (LeeAnne) Failing of Lorain and Andrew James Failing of Indianapolis, IN.; grandchildren, Ashley, Maria, Sydney and Paige; great-grandson, Jack; brothers, Frank (Charlene) Dennis of Brookpark and Harry (Dee) Dennis of North Ridgeville; several nieces and nephews, and Aunt Nana. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Failing in 2004, and her parents, Frank and Sue Dennis. The family will receive friends Monday 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. 440-322-4626. A Memorial Service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church 5100 Ashland Ave. Lorain. The Rev. Gary Georgi will Officiate. Private burial will be at Lakewood Park Cemetery, Lakewood.
