Steve Csonka 92 of Elyria passed away peacefully at his residence on January18,2015. Steve was a lifelong resident of Elyria. He was born November 15, 1922 in Elyria. He was a graduate of Elyria High School and went on to receive his Bachelor's degree from Fenn College. Steve was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Corp of Engineers during World War II in the Pacific. Steve was the Vice-President of Timms Spring Co. in Elyria and upon his retirement served as President of Timms Spring Co. Steve was a member of the Elyria Country Club , Masons and was the President of Spring Manufacturers Institute.. He was an avid Fisherman and Golfer and loved nothing more than a round of Golf at the Elyria Country Club , where he played well into his 80's scoring four hole in ones.Survivors include his wife of 66 years Mary (nee Petrus) , son Jeff (Karen) of Copley, Ohio , 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Nicholas and Elizabeth Csonka , and son Mark.
