Stephan N . Docs 85, of North Ridgeville passed away Sunday January 22, 2017 with his family by his side.at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born October 21, 1931 and was a 1949 graduate of Lorain High School and attended Fenn College. Stephan worked for Household Finance Co. for 33yrs. as a manager until his retirement in 1985, and for 20 yrs. He was a real estate appraiser. He served his Country as a Staff Sgt. in the Marine Corps.during Korea. Stephan was a member of V.F.W., Moose Club, American Legion, Hospital Volunteer at EMH, 1994 man of the year & President of Lorain Slovenian Club, Little League East Umpire, was also instrumental in starting the Building Fund at St. Marys. He enjoyed fishing, sports, camping, and especially his family. Survivors include the Love of his life of 63 yrs. Lori N. (nee Yurman); daughters Diane Docs of Avon, Doreen Docs- Carnahan of Elyria; sons Kenneth of N. Olmsted, Stephen M. of Elyria; 7 grandchildren; brothers Robert of Naples, Fla., Charles (Janet) of Avon. He was preceded in death by his son Daniel S.in 1993; parents Steve and Margaret (nee Babics). Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 PM Friday January 27, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church 320 Middle Ave. Elyria., where family will receive friends from 10AM until 12:00 PM in the Weigand Room in the Church.Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery (Grafton).
