Stella J. Blaz, (nee-Magusiak), 87, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday September 8, 2014. She was born October 20, 1926 in Orzechowka, Poland and was a Elyria resident for most of her life. Stella was employed in the housekeeping department at Elyria Memorial Hospital for more than 20 years. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Elyria and enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and quilting. Survivors include her daughters, Anna (Joseph) Wrona and Casie (Roman) Supel both of Elyria; son, John (Mary) Blaz of Elyria; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Anna Rajchel of Poland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley in 1999 and 12 siblings. The family will receive friends on Wednesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Closing prayers will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 10;00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Agnes Church 611 Lake Ave., Elyria, The Rev. Fr.
