Shirley A. Hastings, (nee-Muffly), 80, of Grafton went to be with her Lord on Sunday March 31, 2024 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange. She was born July 21, 1943 in Elyria and was a Grafton resident for most of her life. She retired as a custodian at Baldwin Wallace College in Berea and was a member of Cross Community Church in Elyria where she formerly served as a Sunday school teacher. Shirley was a social butterfly who enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was very proud of her son's accomplishments. Survivors include her sons, Kevin (Laura) Hastings and Patrick Hastings; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Diana (Bob) Ludwig. The family will receive friends Wednesday April 10, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12 noon at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. The Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton will Officiate. Burial will follow at Nesbitt Cemetery, Grafton Township.
