Obituary

Shirley A. Livchak, (nee-Glatz), 86, of Elyria passed away Wednesday July 22, 2020 at her home following a brief illness. She was born July 14, 1934 in Huron and was a lifelong Lorain County resident. Shirley retired in 1997 from the former Lorain Telephone Company where she worked as a special services assigner for 25 years. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton and also the Independent Telephone Pioneers, Artists United and the North Ridgeville Arts Council. An avid bowler, she also enjoyed art work, crafts and sewing. Survivors include her daughters, Paulette Martin, Ellen Rebok and Karen Dee; sons, Alan Hall and Bryan Hall; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and sisters, Kay Flores and Janet Mudrich. She was preceded in death by her husband Steve, son, Craig Hall in 1968, grandson, Preston Hall, parents, Harry and Rose Glatz and a brother, Robert Glatz. All services will be private. The Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold, pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church will Officiate. Private burial will be at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the donor's favorite charity. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria.
